Acupuncture
Acupuncture consists of the insertion of fine needles into the body in order to treat a variety of health concerns. Research suggests it may benefit various forms of pain, along with conditions such as allergies and nausea in cancer patients. Traditionally, acupuncture is used to treat many conditions including mental health, digestive symptoms, sleep disturbance, women’s health and more. During your treatment, we can discuss how to best address your specific needs.
Cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na
Cupping utilizes suction to release tension in muscles. This technique is used traditionally as a supplement to acupuncture for sore muscles, cold/flu, digestive issues and more.
Gua Sha utilizes a scraping technique to release tension in muscles. This technique, similar to cupping, is used as a supplement to acupuncture.
Tui Na is a traditional Chinese massage that utilizes manual massage therapy to supplement acupuncture.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion consists of the burning of artemisia vulgaris or mugwort herb on or near the skin. This technique is used traditionally as a supplement for acupuncture for digestive issues, women’s health, pain (especially arthritis), and more.
